The Atlantic Coast Conference announced today the recipients of the 2008 Spring Sportsmanship Awards. Teams receiving the awards have conducted themselves with a high degree of character and good sportsmanship, as determined by a vote of the league's players and coaches.Big thanks to the players and coaches for giving the rest of us Hokies even more to be proud of.
Virginia Tech was named the recipient of the ACC Sportsmanship School of the Year Award for the 2007-08 academic year. A traveling trophy will be on display for one year at Virginia Tech, which was named the sportsmanship winner in five sports and leads all schools with 19 awards since joining the ACC in 2004.

Guess the Hokies will continue to win that award, so long as those Vick Brothers stay away from campus! Did you see the item about Marcus' latest troubles? Congrats to your Beloved Hokies! On another note, you're invited to contribute to Take Another Look Thursday. It's a way we teachers can stay on our toes this summer! http://scholastic-scribe.blogspot.com/2008/06/take-another-look-thursday.html Know you've got something to say, Hoagie!
ReplyDeleteThe football team ain't winning that award any time soon =/
ReplyDeleteThey keep kicking the bad apples out, but guys like the Vicks and Branden Ore continue to give Hokie football a bad reputation, whether or not it is really deserved (I'd say a lot is and a lot isn't).
I'll be sure to check out Take Another Look Thursday!
