I take it back

The Cabrera signing isn't an awful signing as I called it last post. Terms have come out.

ESPN says the deal is worth $2.6 million.

This rivals the LoDuca/Fatstrada/Mackowiakkkkk signings from last year. What happened to being responsible with our $?

Did Steven at FJB wish for infinite ammo at Bowden for Christmas? He certainly got it.

I AM ANGRY!

  1. I don't think it's anything like the Lo Duca or Estrada signings. Neither of those guys had upside. As for Big Mack, his projected average and OBP -- especially as a needed left-handed bat -- were arguably worth taking that $1.5MM chance on at 31.

Let's give St. Claire and Cabrera a chance. If the chance doesn't work out, we move on, sadder but maybe wiser.
